My thoughts:
"Like Hell" is a powerful musical exploration of love's painful contradictions, conceived and brought to life by Sebastian Nuss and myself under our pseudonym 'Rise of Phinux'. In this project, I took on the dual roles of drummer and vocalist. The song was co-written with Sebastian, who also added his exceptional guitar skills to the track. Aaron Buchner (Flairtown Studios) co-mixed and produced the song and brought it to another level.
The lyrics, "I gave you heaven and you gave me hell," epitomize the core sentiment of the track—highlighting the stark disparity between the giver’s sacrifices and the recipient's betrayal. These words resonate throughout the song, painting a vivid picture of emotional turmoil and unreciprocated devotion. Following its release I embarked on creating a creative accompanying infinity zoom video. This two-week endeavor involved the crafting of over 70 AI-generated frames using DALLE 3 and After Effects, guiding viewers on a visual journey through myriad worlds—from fiery hells and lush paradises to tranquil heavens dotted with dolphins. This immersive video begins and ends in the cosmic gaze of an eye, symbolizing the cyclical nature of experiences and emotions.
